The people of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church believe that Christ calls us to be a church that reaches out into the community – the local community and the world as a whole – to do God’s Work with Our Hands.

 

Our mission statement, “Living in Christ – Sharing God’s Love” defines who we are as a community of Christ’s church and enables us to support more than 30 mission efforts with our time and talents. 

Habitat for Humanity

 

 

Seeking to put God's love into action. Habitat for Humanity for DeKalb and Lasalle bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope for low-income families. Habitat for Humanity for Dekalb and Lasalle is an official Georgia county affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a global nonprofit housing and community development organization.

Getting Involved:


St. John's Lutheran Church provides a special Lenten offering for Habitat for Humanity and splits the proceeds between the Dekalb and Lasalle organization.
